Professional Repairs and Restorations

We are Kathy and Jim Morrison, known as Morrison's Chair Caning. We have been professional chair seat restorers for about thirty years. We can restore most chair seats in press cane, "blind" or "French" cane, traditional hand cane, shaker tape, or fiber rush.

Morrison's works with local furniture restoration experts, which allows us to offer a broader array of services. We specialize in the cane, rush, or shaker-tape seat. Exhibitions and Craft Events

As of September 9, 2007, we have RETIRED from craft shows and from sales of new furniture. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our fellow artists and craftsmen, patrons, show sponsors and promoters, and especially our friends who have supported us for the past many years. While we no longer do shows, we are still open for repair work in our Gaithersburg, Maryland studio.
