We also sell the materials necessary for you to restore your own piece. We can offer you the shaker tape, splint, fiber rush, or the sheet or hand cane for you to make your own repairs or restoration.
SHAKER TAPE is available in all of the colors shown in the
TAPE COLOR CHART. Please contact us to determine the amount of tape you need for your item. We can also sell you the foam cushion for your seat and provide you with instructions.
We will need to know the size of the seat or back that you intend to shaker tape. Please have the measurements across the widest point of the seat or back, from side to side, and the distance from the front rail to the back rail (for the seat) or the distance from the top rail to the bottom rail (for the back).
SPLINT is available in 5/8” widths. It comes in either a natural or off-white color, or in a smoked or darker brown version. Again, we will need to know the size of the seat or back that you intend to splint. Please have the measurements across the widest point of the seat or back, from side to side, and the distance from the front rail to the back rail.
FIBER RUSH is available in several sizes, ranging from 4/32" to 7/32". It comes in a tan color, similar to the color of a paper grocery bag. While this is not a task we recommend for beginners, it can be done. Please contact us with the size of the seat across the widest point from side to side, and the distance from the front rail to the back rail. We also need to know the width, from side to side, of the back rail.
